Founder and president of RICHARD R. COX, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT, P.A., (established 1977). The firm offers traditional services in accounting and a wide range of management consulting services. As a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA), the firm's staff maintains the highest standard of quality services. The firm undergoes a quality review conducted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has consistently received the highest opinion in conforming to professional and quality control standards.

Performing business valuations and litigation support since the mid 80s, Mr. Cox founded and is managing member of BVL Consulting Group. PLLC (established 2000). The group provides forensic and business analysis, valuation services, management assistance and forensic accounting and litigation support for attorneys in marital estate determinations, post separation support, child support and damage/loss of income cases.

Mr. Cox has been a CPA since 1976 and holds memberships in the Business Valuation and Forensic and Litigation Services Membership Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), The North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA), The National Association of Certified Valuation Analyst (NACVA), and The Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA).
